Engineering Camp

Creativity, building, physical movement, outdoor exploration, teamwork, fun...this week of camp has got it all!   Mr. G and Mrs. Rankin are working together to bring you a week of camp full of great experiences using physical movement AND hands on learning.

Engineering is the process of creating and building structures, products, and systems by using math and science. Engineers solve problems with their inventions.  This weeks engineering problem will be: How do we create a boat that floats and carries our team around a water obstacle course?  Throughout the week campers will spend time exploring scientific concepts about water and flotation through mini engineering challenges.  They will also work together with a team of students to create their very own boat which they will get to test on the final day.  In addition campers will get to swim and explore the great outdoors.

The camp is designed for students 6-14 years old to explore and challenge themselves. Campers will have fun building, creating and making as well as participating in group experiments and activities - learning together.  Students will also have ample time to play outside.

Please have your child bring the following items to camp.  Lastly, your child will need to bring their own lunch each day.  Please email me at brian.godfrey@mmuusd.org if you have questions.
